Purchased a new G E true-temp gas range. The first large meal placed in the oven collapsed to the bottom since racks were incorrect.
Daughter destroyed her engagement ring on jagged exposed clips while cleaning stove top. The clips anchored a vent below the oven controls. The U shaped bracket that holds the front door glass is a perfect gunk catch all. The F code continually activates and shuts the oven off.
Uneven oven heat burns food placed in right side of oven. The high temp coating on the bottom of the oven platform (above oven burner) failed and the burner heat burned holes in it. The high temp oven heat spreader above the burner warped so severely on one side that uniform oven temp is impossible. Oven wire shelving, (sliding racks) have heavily rusted.
The sliding drawer under the oven has a flimsy panel (inside near top) that will bend under pressure causing a pinch point that will shear the skin off of your fingertips. DO NOT even think about contacting g e customer service !
User's recommendation: this is the perfect gas range to buy for someone you hate !
Monetary Loss: $250.
