Four years ago we purchased a GE refrigerator from PC Richards. Last year, the freezer door handle cracked. We tried complaining to GE but were told (when we finally reached a human being in their so-called Customer Service Dept) that it was out of warranty. So we paid $40 for which we received TWO freezer door replacement handles.

Last month, the refrigerator door handle cracked, again. Knowing GE’s We-don’t-give-a damn-about-you-attitude, we just ordered $47 dollars worth of refrigerator door handles. This time they sent one of each but the refrigerator door handle is improperly cut and needed to be “stretched” to fit the door. It should crack within the year.

We’ve heard complaints from friends and appliance salesmen alike about General Electric. Why is it in the 21st century GE cannot seem to offer products that are not defective?

We have a kitchen full of GE appliances. We’ve been loyal customers over 35 years; but as a result of the treatment we have received from GE and the inferior quality and workmanship of their recent products, we will never again purchase one of theirs.
