GE Appliances - Leaking Dishwasher Ruined Floors
In Sept 2017 I purchased and installed a GE Dishwasher. A week after I noticed water in the basement directly under the Dishwasher.
After examining all kitchen appliances I determined it had to be the Dishwasher. The GE repairman was called and he did a quick inspection and said it wasn't the dishwasher. This went on for 2 more months and 3 more repair visits. Until one morning a woke up and found my hardwood floors bowed and pointing to the sky.
This time he discovered a fill valve was failing and leaking. GE turned my case over to Sedgewick Insurance. Their estimate is $2000.00 less than the cost to replace my floors.
Their justification is they were old floors. I am contesting this becasue none is my fault and for me to be penalized $2000.00 is wrong.
Reason of review: Bad quality.
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
GE Appliances Pros: Appearance.
GE Appliances Cons: Quality- faulty, Lack of consumer support and accountability.

Did you get any resolve? Our leaking GE dishwasher ruined our kitchen, severe mold included.
Sedgwick would not compensate us a penny because we didn't save the faulty vavle that my son immediately replaced due to urgency. Plus, i wasn't about to pay hundreds of dollars to a GE technician when my son could do the repair for $7.
We will NEVER purchase a GE appliance again, nor anything made by GE or it's affiliates. I hope you had a better outcome than we did.
