After a house fire we purchased all new stainless appliances, all GE. 1st the Ice maker in the refridgerator went out (after 2 weeks) they had a repair man out & he replaced it.
after another week or 2 it froze up again, so we called & they just sent us another ice maker & expected us to install it, so we did. Again that one lasted about a month....we are on our 4th icemaker & still it is non functional. Then the Washing Machine started leaking (front Loader) the gasket around the door was faulty & they sent a repairman to replace it. Constant problems with the locking mechanism on the door, now after 2 years the lock on the door is locked & the door is open, called GE & they sent a repairman to look at it & charge us $300.00, we recd the new part & installed it, it has now locked the door shut w/ a wet load in it and it wont drain, it wont run, nothing & we get an error code of E4F which no one at GE can tell us what that code means.
I was transferred from Parts, to Service to Customer Relations (which is the biggest joke of all) and now we have another repairman scheduled out next week to try & figure this out.
The water heater that was also a GE went out a month ago & almost started another fire. DO NOT BUY GE EVER.....their product is horrible & their customer skill's are NON-Exhistant!
