I bought a new microwave that stopped working after 2 months. GE has been unable to fix it but will not replace it.

They want 60% of the cost new to repace it. I also purchased a service contract.

General Electric says it is their policy not to repalce an appliance unless a service man deems the appliance unrepairable.

The service people are unable to obtain the parts, so we are suppesed to wait until they can.

They have given no indication as to when this will be. We were without the use of the microwave for Thanksgiving holidays and apparently will be for Christmas holidays.

Email Vikki at eResponse@ge.com. I had a problem with my Advantium MW and she helped out on the cost of repair parts even though it is out of warranty. Give her a chance to ease the pain.
