Yup. GE appliances stink!!
Sure wish would have read pissed review BEFORE purchase. Purchased GE washer, dryer, range, dishwasher, french door refrigerator/freezer, microwave & range hood, delivered in Oct & Nov of 2018. After less then 4 months of use (just 2 of us) dryer timer & extra wrinkle free cycle not working, washing machine agitated with cover open & continued to agitate after water drained out, only stopped finally after numerous tries. Also it very stupidly will not allow you to run just a rinse if you want to freshen clothes after storage.
Gas range timer has such a soft 'ding' that you have to be standing within 3 feet of it to hear, while the dryer buzzer (when it worked) would wake the dead. Also do NOT like fact that have to go through so many steps to use oven on gas range & if you decide to turn temperature either up or down, have to stop & repeat all the steps again. Very inconvenient. And if you want to use the timer while using oven, either the oven temperature or the time will display, so take your pick!
So far the rest of the appliances are holding up, but not holding my breath!! Prior to purchasing these GE appliances had a 32 year old Kenmore dryer & washer that NEVER, yes that's NEVER needed ANY servicing. ALSO!! GE is VERY difficult to deal with!
Tried 4 times to schedule repair service online & not able to. Message would say their fault, call instead.
Call & have to maneuver way through ridiculous system that keeps telling you to schedule online. Then with the exception of 2 representatives, all the other representatives don't know what the heck they're doing & need lessons in good customer relations!!
