The GE Profile range we bought has dual fuel. The oven and warmer oven are electric and the cooktop is gas.

Seems like a good idea. How was I to know that the gas cannot be turned down low enough to prevent boiling? Do you boil everything? I don't, or at least did not until I bought this horrible product.

GE knows about the problem, as per the person I talked to on the phone. I even paid a repair guy to try to help.

Now I will put this appliance in the trash where it belongs. In selecting my new range I will read reviews.

Product or Service Mentioned: Ge Appliances Cooktop.

Monetary Loss: $2500.

My dual fuel stove caused a kitchen fire. While GE paid for 2 repair technicians to check it out and replace the burned handle and knobs, neither could figure out why the fire started. I asked for a replacement stove because I was scared of a repeat. They offered $200. I accepted. Then GE changed the agreement and demanded the stove.

I want the original agreement honoured.
