PUrchased GE Profile Artic PSS26PSSSS in 2006 with 5 year warranty. Serviced 4x/5 years, including replacing computer board when it didn't keep cool (after they made me unplug and defrost the whole thing and that didn't work).

Now out of warranty it sweats profusely inside. $90 service call to fix.. seal ok, defrost drain line ok, recommend ice ball kit for $460! I have to wipe down 2x a day to keep moisture at bay.

GE customer service won't acknowledge design problem (ice ball kits is not a part of the fridge but a fix to a defect)and won't guarantee the kit will fix the sweating problem.

I can understand replacing a defective part, but installing a kit because the design is poor is not normal service. GE stinks.

The same thing happened to us with our five year old GE Profile. Last weekend GE installed the Ice ball kit and now they tell me we have to defrost the whole refrigerator and freezer for two days with the doors open.

I am so upset. Don't know if this will work or not.
