I scheduled a test and possible repair for a GE gas stove. The technician called me and told me that he could not even run the test because he did not have proper GE equipment to test the oven.

Upon further investigation and sevearl calls to the company, it turns out that the "tester" has to come from Atlanta and currently GE does not have any "testers" for our issue, which is a carbon monoxide leak, and therefore cannot give us any idea when they could reschedule or run a test.

I find it rather odd that a major company does not have a carbon monoixide tester and an inspector in a major metropolitian area that can keep an appointment and have the appropriate equipment to run a test on our GE oven. We will not be buying GE ever again due to this clear lack of customer service.
