I have a Kitchenaid refrigerator model no.KSSC42QMS01 and it has the an electronic control unit similar to the VCC3 11** ** F 04, mine is a VCC3 11** ** A 02 and I'm having the same problem. I replaced my unit a year ago soon after the warranty ended.

Now I have the same problem, no refrigeration. Both units were brown on the sides and the one replaced had parts fall out of it when I removed it from the refrigerator. RECALL or no cost replacement.

My refrigerator was very expensive and I never expected such cheep parts would be used in it. Very disappointed.

Same issue here. This compressor control unit has now gone out twice in 6 years.

The first repair ran me $800 because they replaced the compressor as well. Ridiculous. This refrigerator was expensive and its been nothing but trouble and expense, not to mention inconvenient.

Frankly, the 'builder stock' refrigerator here when we moved in, was far better quality than this Kitchen Aid unit any day of the week. Save yourself the time, money, and aggravation, and never buy this *** cleverly disguised as a high end refrigerator.
