I purchased a washer from Lowes in May of 2014 and I have had 6 service calls. It has had 2 motherboards replaced and the valve and the timer twice.
It has stopped working again. I tried to call the company who handles the service contract and all I get is an endless loop to call the number I just called. It never offers me an option to speak with a person and if I press zero, I still get nothing. It is the most frustrating thing I have ever seen.
I dial it and it recognizes my phone number and says my service event is "in progress" and then when I try to see if I have a repair appointment, it says it does not recognize me and to dial the previous number I just dialed.
I have purchased a new washer with NO SERVICE CONTRACT - a Speed Queen. I will NEVER BUY another GE product or recommend them or use this Assurant company for anything again.
