Bad repair service response

With this being the second time I needed repairs on my refrigerator I called GE, because it was still under warranty. They make an appointment with a third party. Well here is the problem. I was told by GE that my appointment would be from 8am to 5pm. I tell the lady (and the next three GE employee) that I could not be there until after 2pm. I was then told they could make the company they were hiring to come at a certain time. Even though I am the customer I had to do whatever they said. When did this country not put the customer first. Well anyway either company, GE or A&E are willing to work with me. They want me miss work and lose money. Your warranty sucks GE. A&E your service is no better.

Ge Appliances - Dishwasher Review from Scottsdale, Arizona

The first week I bought my $700 plus dishwasher I had problems. Every time someone came out they suggested other things to do to get my dishes clean. Turn on hot water before starting, use different detergent, use more than 3 different cleansers, don't rinse the dishes. Well, I've tried it all. I am now forced to hand wash every dish before putting them in. Glasses and plates and knives and forks feel gritty. It's gross! One plastic blade keeps falling down. And when I complain they make excuses. I shall never ever buy another GE product nor will the people I have told about this.

GE Duet washer spider broken

1st started with noise doing washing. found top front counter weight broken. front plastic tub destroyed. spider on back of tub broken into 3 pieces. looks like pics shown. ghw9100lw0 model purchased 2001. can,t find spider unit that states it will fit this model. may hav to scrape this washer. will replace with not GE. Have found that GE is making other brand named washers. that also have other problems. Learned to stay away from front loader machines due to issues.

Dishwasher went out after 6 months and wasnt a cheap one. Had a service call from a so called professional who spent an hour figured out what was wrong and its been 8 days and have heard nothing triex calling and no answer. Called GE worst customer service ever i will never purchase GE anything afyer this experience

Imagine buying a fridge that is down for a month, spoils your food for a month, and GE does nothing about it. This is what we experienced with a brand new GE Cafe fridge model CYE22TSHBSS. We bought this fridge over a year ago and it has been down 4 times, out of 3 we had serious down time, and had no operational fridge for a total of a month if you add all the down time, waiting for repair person, waiting for parts, and it breaks multiple times. I bought GE not for their product for for service, and unforetunatly I got the worst. My fridge is down again, same part,m which GE replaced before: a fan. Yes!! Apparently a fan overheats, and brings down the entire fridge, spoils all my food. GE repair said that this fan is known to have problems - so they apparently know about this and did nothing to re-engineer it?? Shame on you GE.

We bought this piece of *** a month ago and now it states that we need to "Supply H2O". There is nothing wrong with the water line. I can't get a live person on the phone so that I can schedule an appointment for after 5:00pm. I can not afford to take a day off of work to get this piece of *** fixed and I can't get a live person. Very disappointed that this big corporation doesn't care about customer service. I will never buy a GE product ever again.

Stay away from ge washer model GTW485ASJOWS biggest piece of junk ever. Quit working not even two months old. And good luck on getting repair to come fix it. If you do not work your ok but forget it if you have a job. They expect you to sit and wait for them after your given a 3 hour window all on their terms. Quess they forgot we pay their wages by buying their appliances.

I purchased this appliance, in addition to sever other GE Cafe appliances, as I've always heard good things about the reliability of GE. I wouldn't know, as I've not had a chance to even use them yet. I'm having problems before they were hooked up. In particular, the GE Café Series 36" Gas Rangetop (MSRP $3000). This rangetop is supposed to slide in, and rest on the counter top. As it turns out, there was a manufacturer defect in the product where the front left corner is raised about a 1/4 inch off the countertop. The other 3 corners remain flush with the counter top.. This is in a highly visible location in my kitchen, and looks horrible. The appliances were purchased over three months ago (There were some delays in the renovation), so the store I purchased from told me to call GE Customer relations directly. When I contacted GE about the manufacturers defect in the product, they told me that this was not covered under warranty, since it was "only cosmetic", and as such, there was nothing that they could do. Really? A brand new appliance, in what they market as "Restaurant Inspired, Professional look", and they can do nothing about it.. I found the GE Cafe' description rather ironic at this point: "With inspired aesthetics and impressive power that mimic great restaurants, GE Café Series is a dream come true for people who love to live in the kitchen." Perhaps I'll still get the impressive power?

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!

NEVER BUY APPLIANCES FROM GE , IF YOU EXPECT THEM TO HONOR THE WARRANTY. MY NEW DRYER (HOTPOINT) BROKE DOWN ONLY AFTER 4 MONTHS OF USE, AND THE COMPANY IS TRYING THEIR HARDEST NOT TO REPLACE THE UNIT WITH A NEW ONE. I WASTED SEVERAL DAYS TRYING TO GET THIS COMPANY TO DO WHAT THEY SAID THEY WOULD DO. THEY DROP CALLS, THEY DON'T RETURN CALLS, THEY PUT YOU ON HOLD WITH NO MUSIC, THEY GIVE YOU A FAKE REFERENCE NUMBERS AND LIE ABOUT THEIR NAMES AND OPERATOR NUMBERS. I FINALLY HAD TO TELL THEM THAT I WAS RECORDING THEIR PHONE CALL, TO GET THEIR ATTENTION. IF THEY DON'T FOLLOW THROUGH THIS TIME, I'M PUTTING THE CALL ON YOUTUBE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GE Kitchen Range

We purchased a new GE kitchen range in October 2015. As of January 20, 2016 it is still not working after 4 repair visits. GE will not give us a new one because they say it is repairable. Nonsense. We are frustrated beyond belief. The selling store was Grand Appliance out of Illinois and they do not do any service work. We purchased a new GE kitchen range in October 2015. Knobs for my GE cafe stove keeps breaking and loose

These plastic knobs are very dangerous,we cannot tell if they are off or on,One of the gas ranges was on all night we could have gotton very sick ,they have been replaced several times.....I had my Parents over who are in there 70s and they thought they were off and were left on because they are so loose.we are just very concerned something is going to happen and the gas is not going to be shut off there has to be better knobs for these stoves

GE, 1 year warranty, 1 year appliance life span

We moved into our home just over a year ago. We replaced all of the kitchen appliances; refrigerator, stove, microwave, and dishwasher with GE slate gray appliances. This was in November, 2014. On New Year's eve (2016), the dishwasher flooded the kitchen. I removed the kick panel and saw water pouring from the pump. After the holiday, we finally got in touch with the appliance repair shop who handles GE warranty work in our area. They contacted GE on our behalf to see if GE would stand behind a product that was just over 1 month out of warranty. Bear in mind, this wasn't something simple like an indicator light burning out, this failure was catastrophic. GE basically told them (and us) to pound sand. We are a 2 person family. The dishwasher was used maybe twice a week during the year we've owned it. Amazing quality! Now I'm looking forward to watching the rest of this stuff fall apart. It looks like the life span of the product and the warranty period are the same. How handy for GE. They must not have to depend on repeat business.

UPDATE

We contacted GE customer service ourselves. A very nice lady there took over our case, agreed to cover our problem under warranty, and even went so far as to personally contact a service facility in our area and schedule an appointment.

The tech showed up yesterday and found a loose fitting from the factory.

He tightened it and the leak appears to be gone.

I don't want to be one of those "quick to complain/slow to praise" people. GE did everything as well or better than we could have hoped.

I have no idea why we got the original "brush-off.

the GE cafe range knobs are made by plastic. it broken and results the gas leaks...

couldn't turn off since it broken... be aware when turn the on/off the range. One morning, I smelled the gas in the kitchen, i was so panic and scare. My kids and wife would be danger if I left for work.

I checked and found out that the gas came from the range. Checking the knobs and one of them was not worked completely turned off. I had to use another *** to shut off the broken one.

These knobs are made by plastic and they are broken. I need to replace these knobs but hope that they would not be the plastic.

Bought top of line Cafe induction cooktop, dishwasher, microwave, oven Had ge service out 7 times in 3 months to fix a problem with these appliances. Spent 6,500 for this junk at Clovis appliance. Service is on their way out again to fix the cooktop which costs over $2,000.00 the service sucks. you have to wait 4 hour window, then they need to come back again to do the repair, another 4 hour wait GE is Downhill. They are trying to sell off the appliance business according to the web

Ge Appliances - Washing Machine Review from Spotsylvania, Virginia

I have had a washing machine for 2 years. Since the time I bought it the feed for the detergent has never worked. After repair person came out over four times to repair and never could I decided I would not use that feature, no longer wanted to miss work for something that would never be repaired. The washer is now leaking all over my floor, a related problem to the previous issue. Answer from GE is 25% off parts and labor because it is out of warranty even though issue began during warranty period. Horrible service!
