I have had to replace two of the knobs since Feb installation and now have to replace the lock knob as it is also broken (and I have never used it). So much for the safety of it!! They are plastic and are defective. The first knob broke and I was unable to turn off the burner. After freaking out and then pulling one of the other knobs to turn it off, I called customer service and she sent me two replacements. Then one of the new ones broke... Read more

Purchased a new appliance package about 18 months ago, slate finish is really cool but had warranty work done on refrigerator, microwave an dishwasher in the first 6 months of ownership then GE quickly sent me notices that the manufacturer warranty was expiring. Soon after I purchased this refrigerator, the ice maker needed to be replaced, and there have been 4 additional service calls since I had this refrigerator (the water filter repair/replacement of a PCV Board, Noise, and Frost Build Up) and my wood floors have been damaged also. My washing machine was still within the first year warranty when it started to malfunction. It has been five weeks dealing with GE Warranty with a 3rd party service provider that has missed appointments, not shown up on time (like two hours AFTER the promised service window), and refusal by GE to replace machine. We have missed 5 ENTIRE work days with GE Warranty missing appointments, not showing up on time, and being extremely uncoorperative... Read more

Ge not only provides Awful Customer Service; they also have very unprofessional staff at the President's Office and Gary Mentoth is one of the unprofessional staff member who doesn't even know how to professionally talk to a customer but he is good at *** customer off. Bought GE dryer in Jan.2016. Went out April 30. Been fighting with GE ever since to get it fixed and then they promised replacement. And six weeks later, I am still waiting. What's with the F97 code on this appliance? Seems like it's a popular problem judging by the online complaints. I had a Monogram double wall oven installed April 2015. I don't use the oven much since we are "Empty nesters", and dine out quite a bit. The warranty is up just in time to escape the situation - too bad for us the consumers who paid a lot for this defective oven. And, the problem occurred several months before the warranty expired... My dishwasher stopped working 3 weeks after I received it. I didnt realize it wasnt working. I thought I didnt push the start button, then the next day thought I pressed the wrong settings...a few days passed as I was away..checked again and the dishes werent cleaned. I purchased this stove @ HH Gregg in Riverside. Looked good in the store, when I received the FIRSt on it was all dented and the back was not screwed together. Got another one. This one is crappier than the first one. When you have the oven on and pans on the stove, the handles get hot. Burned myself twice. The side has a sharp edge on it and cut myself cleaning the stove. Our g e frig ice maker failed after the first six months. Do not buy a g e frig. If you don't want to have problems
