We were about to go to bed for the night when my wife said she smelled an electrical burn. I got up, went in the attic, checked all the bedrooms,computers,garage,outside, until I finally gave up and went back to bed, but stayed sitting up. Hello, I have an issue that I hope you can resolve. I have been dealing with this for a YEAR and there's no end in sight. I purchased a matching set, washer and dryer a year ago. Within days, the washer started leaking large amounts of water. I contacted GE Appliance and after four months of dealing with them, over 30 phone calls and multiple repair visits they went ahead and purchased the appliance back. I am having a problem with my GE dishwasher about 18 months ago I bought it through Home Depot and the extended warranty is with assurance which is the worse company I have dealt with in many years I started at the lowest position all the way to what assurance calls customer advocate and the say they have the fancy chain of service that will get my problem resolved well 9 weeks later I am still getting no service so do not accept a extended warranty with them. The washer we purchased started acting up before we even had it a year, we called GE it took MULTIPLE Tech visits and parts to be ordered for it to be "fixed". Now here we are AGAIN only a few months later and we have MORE problems with the SAME washer. What does GE offer? To send someone to "fix" it AGAIN!!!! I am tired of this broke down POS washer and feel that it is GE's obligation to send me a brand-new one to replace the obvious LEMON we purchased brand-new!!! But no, what does GE want to do? Installed today at 3:00 pm pm. I loaded the dishwasher of the dishes I had taken out of old machine and selected heavy soil at 4:30pm then fell asleep. Woke up at 6:45 and machine was still going. Figured maybe didn't need that cycle so opened dishwasher and took A glass out and it was slimy. Tried another and same thing. Felt like soap still on it and only had used 1 of the Finish pods. Couldn't get it to shut off and finally saw that if you hold start button 3 secs will shut down. Yes it shut it off but all the lights are still on. Finally... Read more

I bought a ge dishwasher in november of 2013 had a problem with water not getting in because of the float not working properly it gets stuck and it thinks it has water.Melted the wash arm and some of our plastic tuperware. I called and they just want to send a repair person out a hope that that fixes it. I told them I wanted my money back and was told we could work on getting us a new one at a discount I told them i don't want anything from them but my money to buy a new one that's not a GE POS, so I guess Im going to be out another... My GE GFE26GMHES french door refrigerator started making a noise on the side, figured out it was ice hitting a fan. So I pulled all my food out and put it in coolers ans let it defrost. Fired it back up about 14 hours later, no noise now, but now the top section is at about 53° F when it should be around 37° F. This unit is 14 months old (of course it had a 1 year warranty!)and this should not be going on....very disappointed with GE, now I am worried about my other 5 appliances I bought from them too. I have had this washing machine for 4 years. Light washing, 3-4x a week 1 load, only my husband and myself. Started to make noises, called GE service, the transmission was shot and of course no warranty on this part, only for a year, he stated it used to be for 5 but I guess GE realized the part was inferior and dropped the warranty. $320 to replace. Very aggravated, purchased GE Cafe cooktop gas stove despite reviews that the knobs break. Should have listened. I am just passed the one year warranty and had one break. They will not send a free replacement even though there seems to be a major issue with this part. Was brushed off by customer service specialist. Will never purchase GE again and will strongly advice any acquaintances do do the same. Read more

I bought my Profile front loading washer and dryer in 2011 and was told by Sears that it was the 2010 model and was discounted, I took the unit home and before my year warranty ran out sears had to come to my home and replace the belt and repair a recall. unfortunately my warranty ran out and in 2012 the belt came off again and a repair man came and fixed it, then in 2013 the belt and pully broke and the repair man came out and fixed it, in 2014 again same repair, 2015 same repair....................2016 the actual bowl had a split in it and...
